The length of time that it takes to charge a Hummer EV Pickup or SUV varies greatly depending on the type of charger used. If you plug it in at a DC fast charger, it can add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 to 12 minutes. It takes 40 minutes to an hour to fully charge these EV super trucks, at an estimated cost of $100 to $150.

A Level 1 charger (120 volts) will require up to 24 hours to fully charge an empty battery. A Level 2 charger (240 volts) can fully charge an empty battery in around 16 hours.

The battery pack in a regular EV weighs about 1,000 pounds. The battery in a Hummer EV can weigh over 2,900 pounds, which impacts its towing capacity. The Hummer EV Pickup and SUV still have highly respectable towing amounts, depending on the trim level you select.

The standard tow capacity for the Hummer EV SUV is rated at 7,500 pounds. The towing capacity is a different story when it comes to the Hummer EV Pickup in 2025. The 2X trim version with a dual motor is rated to tow 12,000 pounds, on top of a payload capacity of 1,485 pounds. Depending on the model and battery size, the EPA rates the Hummer EV Pickup and SUV at 298 to 381 miles on a full charge. The SUV gets an estimated range of 314 miles on a full charge, according to the EPA.

The numbers vary with the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup trucks. If equipped with the 20-module battery the 2X trim version gets an EPA-estimated 311 miles of range on a single charge. The 3X trim version extends that a little bit to 314 miles per charge. The 3X trim version can also be equipped with a 24-module battery as an add-on. GMC says this extends the range of the vehicle up to 381 miles on a full charge. All these figures assume that you are not towing anything or hauling any significant cargo.

You can charge a Hummer EV SUV or Pickup at home or a public charging station. If you have a Level 1 charger with a 3-prong outlet at home, it can take up to 24 hours to fully recharge the battery. With a Level 2 charger professionally installed at your home, it takes around 16 hours to fully charge the battery.
